Competition Increases with Gaming Laptop Computers
The days where gaming notebooks were a small market are fading very rapidly. Although they weren’t good sellers they did have big margins. Surely I could confidently say everyone desired one though. They were like the show piece of what was possible with notebook technology. The best laptops around. I would get really excited by them however I knew I couldn’t go out and buy laptops at the price points they were going for. As the big computer companies appreciate the potential profits in gaming notebooks, the business is altering. If mass manufactured, brands can create large markups on gaming notebooks. With such little margins on other notebook computers its not a surprise they want to be involved. Also they know they can induce us to buy laptops like these better than small system builders. I’m quite certain that littler resellers will be forced to drop their prices for them to compete. This one time premium technology is basically going to be targeted at everyone now. Also the familiar brand name will give customers more confidence.
The hype being produced concerning the latest branded gaming laptop computers is making people see them as being the best laptops ever. In my view though, this is actually a bit of hope for the little companies in retail. Majority of the time the pre built notebook computers are good performers however not powerful enough and some people don’t take well to that. These kinds of people usually are well educated in the technology and can compare spec for spec. For these kinds of consumers, the speed of a laptop usually mean more than the design of it.
This would be interpreted as a positive trend for the purchaser. As this drives down the prices even more, the latest technology will get increasingly accessible to the masses. Though I say that, I’m not actually assured with my predictions. Different models are constantly coming out and these latest models always go for high prices. The well known manufacturers have already started in the gaming laptops division so we will have to wait and observe what happens I guess.
How Soon Before We See Thin And Weightless Gaming Notebooks
Laptop computer shipments are approximately estimated to be in the region of 130million units this year, which is a lot! But be warned if you want the most up to date tech than you need to cultivate some patience as there could be part shortages. Laptop computers have just been a phenomenal market to follow. There has been no drop in sales. The technology is progressing in all directions at once too.
I’ve witnessed a lot of gaming notebooks being launched lately. Adequate gaming notebooks can be purchased at a low price for mediocore gaming requirements. Gaming notebooks are no longer ridiculed by serious gamers because they are actually reasonably good. I think what’s most impressive is how slim the chassis’s are and how cool the systems run. Gaming performance between notebooks and desktops should forever be partial to desktops though, simply because desktops are always going to be larger and more faster. Could gaming notebooks ever turn razor thin? I feel this is a segment to observe.
A lager number of small system builders supply custom built laptops to niche sectors. Normally branded parts go into these laptops. It just provides the end user substantial choice at the end of the day. Let me tell it how it is. You possibly aren’t like everyone else and hence normal laptops won’t suffice. Power users require custom notebooks because of this. You can hunt down of manufacturers who sell straight to the buyer so there is a lot of choice as well. Because of this people will give up on the big brand name.
Cool is a thought that comes to mind when thinking of the next wave of portable computers. Laptops essentially for accessing the internet etc are being released in the market one after the other. Obviously this will be something massive in developing markets. I really feel that we’re bound to see feather weigth 15″ notebooks in the near future as well. I’m certain a few manufacturers are proactively working on such plans. I’m confident we will see ultra light gaming notebooks in the near future. Though laptop technology follows roadmaps there is forever going to be a product that transforms all that.
I would recommend these if you’re after the best gaming laptops.
Wide Range Taser Crowd or Demostrator Displacement Unit
Wide Range Taser Crowd Control VS ELF or VLF to prevent out of hand protests which can lead to blood shed. This new technology might be deployed against an army or for crowd control? Taser Guns for crowd control? Many people at once:
http://www.newscientist.com/news/news.jsp?id=ns99996014
This is an interesting idea, yet we can also put people to sleep via ELF or VLF and/or make them mellow out and therefore no escalation of protestors which could lead to tear gas, rubber bullets, hand to hand contact via night sticks etc. I believe there are many uses for this wide range area taser unit, for instance immobilizing your enemy without killing him and therefore you do not have the rath of their offspring wanting revenge in the next period against your country or citizenry as enemies, allies and friends are a constant flowing issue throughout the history of mankind. For instance the enemy of you enemy is your friend today and your enemy tomorrow and so on.
http://home.earthlink.net/~alanyu76/part5d.htm
I realize that there is much controversy on this subject. And believe that perimeter controls of Nuclear Power Plants, Pipelines, etc. will have needs for the higher level power settings which would stun or incapacitate the intruder, but in the case of free demonstrations, freedom of speech, etc. I see issues on both sides. Plato discusses making examples of those who cause problems of leadership so that a small demostration does not grow in numbers and power and end up dividing the society and eventually bringing down the civilization. So there are issues on both sides as gang mentality can cause humans to do some really bizarre and hurful things they would never do one on one such as stoning others to death, hangings, beatings and riots.
There are many who are quite appalled at this stuff even to the point of conspiracy theories run wild and actually causing the very backlash that they claim exists.
http://educate-yourself.org/dc/dclatestonm…ys25may02.shtml
This technology when used must be used correctly and with people in mind in non-war efforts otherwise we might cause further problems in the culture. This technology is a very good tool for certain things and is of value, however could cause problems to the whole.

When it comes to survey software you have two choices: (1) you can buy the software and do the work yourself, or (2) you can use software hosting online, letting someone else take care of the details for you. Both choices will give you the results that you need, however when you buy and install the software on your own computer you’ll need to have some idea of how to use software packages and you’ll need to have the time compute the results.
Your survey software will generally be fairly easy to install if you decide that you’d rather not use a hosting service. Any survey software that you buy will come with a support line both on and off the Internet so that you can get help at any time and have your questions answered. This is particularly helpful when you first install the software and are learning how to use it.
Media Players And The Digital Age
It is important for you to know exactly what a media player is, and how you may want to use it with your lifestyle. Remember the longer you wait to learn, the more you will feel left behind and possibly be missing many entertainments features too.
The word multimedia player has its beginnings with the media technology from radio and TV. It is just another form of communication written in computer software as files, which creates another form of communication for people to use. Media player software has created many new forms to communicate with called multimedia devices. When people think of multimedia software, they think digital. A media player is used to transmit text, graphics, audio and video. Options exist today that up until a decade ago, seemed impossible to imagine.
Different professional work environments that extensively use media player software are the entertainment industry, medical profession, and educational and training development. Great graphic imaging, as in the movie I Robot and Shrek, are two good examples of digital media player imaging. Medical uses of media player software are far reaching. Digital imaging with MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) that offers a detailed look inside the body and other such applications have saved numerous lives. In addition, education and training for jobs have become high tech because of digital software. Training provided for police enforcement and military uses is widespread. The use of a media player to simulate vehicle chases has saved a lot of police officers lives and money as well. The Air Force regularly trains it pilots on flight simulators that use media player graphics and text. As with the police departments, it is a lot cheaper and safer to train and learn through this method.
What are the personal benefits for people in using any type of media player software? Studies have proven that by using any two forms of multimedia mediums, people learn easier. This is especially important for older people. As you age, you can still learn, but it is much harder to do. With today’s fluid job market, that becomes important an important factor for everyone. Also, one of the goals of on the job training is to reduce accidents in the workplace. When people use media player software to learn job safety it sticks with them and accidents are reduced. Audio and visual learning make a great impact on how information is stored in the brain - and it is always better to use both.
The world is a different place than it was only a decade ago. Media player software is here to stay, and in many ways, it has improved our life and opened us to different discoveries in entertainment and lifestyles. Text messages in email, music and even pictures zoom across the Internet at lightning speed. New inventions like the iPods, and digital picture frames are storming the market, and companies are making some good money because of it. Who knows where it will be in twenty years. It will be interesting to find out.

Substitute the Internet for Your TV
I have fond memories of waking up early on Saturday mornings and softly tiptoeing out to the family room to watch early morning cartoons when I was in elementary school. Then in high school I became more interested in the action-oriented TV shows in the evening. A little while later, I found that I just didn’t have the time to dedicate an hour or so a day to sitting and watching mindless entertainment at a given time slot, and so I no longer watched TV at all. Gone are my days of watching those humorous cartoons and ridiculous heroes every week.
I recently discovered the online film scene, though, and it’s fantastic. Short films, up to about 20mins in length, just posted online for all to download. Many of them are better than the professionally produced, high-budget TV shows that stream so liberally to your TV box. Every one is a labor of love, so even when the production values aren’t high you know that someone has poured themselves into the product, which brings satisfaction beyond that of watching some stale TV show now into it’s 19th series and just churning out the money makers.
Cartoons were my first port of call. It’s been a long time since I’ve been awake and free early enough in the morning to watch some animated entertainment (and besides that, the cartoons on TV now are largely trash). A friend introduced me to my first online cartoon, the enormously popular and hilarious Homestar Runner (http://www.homestarrunner.com). This site is fantastic. There are longish cartoons and games, with new ones being added every now and then, but the main reason to visit and continue to return is a lovably vicious character named Strong Bad. The creators of the web site answer roughly one email a week using this character that basically insults people in the most hilarious ways possible. It’s all quite family-friendly and is more than worth a bookmark.
More animated wonders and filmed entertainment can be found at Atom Films (http://www.atomfilms.com), which has become a free service recently. Also worth a look is Ifilm (http://www.ifilm.com) that offers the lower-bandwidth streams of films for free. Be slightly wary here though as there is an uncensored section and occasionally some videos will show up on the main page that aren’t entirely family-friendly. These two sites showcase hundreds of short films, from animated to live action, from musical to martial arts. They host music clips and film festival winners as well as some non-professional but often still high quality work.
For the action fans there are a number of ‘Stunt Crews’ out there, risking life and limb for the sheer giddy thrill of looking really cool on tape. They’ll have you wishing you were just half as talented as they are. One particularly active and talented group goes by the name of The Stunt People (http://www.thestuntpeople.com). They have a large number of videos available online, most running for about 20mins and almost all of them jam packed with martial arts and tricking entertainment. Of similar style, although not quite as stunt-oriented, are Jabronie Pictures (http://jabroniepictures.com/). These films all contain some violence and occasionally some coarse language, so you may want to screen them before showing them to younger children.
There are those who claim that TV can be used to keep up with the events unfolding in the world, the people who watch the news when the ‘Simpsons’ is on the other channel. For those socially minded folks, a quick search for ‘News video streams’ reveals a large number of pages, such as http://www.humanitas-international.org/newstran/streaming-tv.htm that contains a large list of streams, providing news updates on demand.
So if you’ve got a little downtime and there’s nothing on TV, try shifting on over to your computer and basking in the wonderful entertainment provided by many talented people who just want to share their creativity. Or, keep yourself current with happenings around the world. It’s fun and free. What more could you want?

Printer Ink - Tips on Printing Digital Photos
Introduction
This article looks at the issues surrounding printing digital photos and other graphics using an ink printer. It is aimed at users who may not have a lot of technical expertise but who can, with a little help from articles like this, get the best from their equipment.
It is written in New Zealand, for NZers, and while the information may be useful in other countries, it is not intended for use outside New Zealand.
Benchmark your performance
When you buy a new ink printer print some photos using the complimentary paper supplied by the manufacturer. This gives you a benchmark of the performance of your printer and when you use different inks, paper or software you have the original standard of performance to compare against.
Maintain your printer
Look after your printer. Keep it clean and cover it when not in use. Use it regularly. The ink is the lubricant that helps maintain the print heads in good condition so regular use is beneficial. Have it professionally cleaned and serviced, at least annually, more often if you use it heavily. Following these few simple steps will prolong the life of your printer and enhance the quality of your prints.
Troubleshoot methodically
If you’re not happy with your printed page then troubleshoot the problem using the following method:-
1.Print a nozzle test to see that all nozzles are firing. You will find the nozzle test in the printer software under a heading such as “maintenance”, “service”, “utilities” etc.
2.If all nozzles are not firing then run the print head cleaning utility and print another nozzle test to see if cleaning has made a difference.
At this point if you are using Print Head Cartridges put new ink cartridges in the printer. If you are using Non Print Head Cartridges then carry on. If you are not sure about your ink cartridges see the article “Printer Ink - Choosing the right cartridges for your needs”.
3.Repeat the above two steps until you get a good nozzle test. If you don’t get a good test after repeating these two steps at least six times seek help from a qualified printer servicing company.
Warning - cleaning print heads uses ink so you may run low on ink before you get a good result. And a good result is not guaranteed - the print head may have failed.
4.Having either got a good nozzle test, or having changed your print head cartridges, and you are still not happy - what else has changed?
* Are you using the printer manufacturer’s software to print your photos? Other software, perhaps supplied free with photo paper or over the internet, may be easier to use but may not get the best out of the printer.
* Does your printer need servicing? Despite all the care you have taken printers do get dirty and ink or dust in the wrong place can have some surprising effects, particularly in photographs.
* Have you changed the paper you use? Some photo papers and some inks can be incompatible.
* Have you changed the ink you use? Some inks and papers can be incompatible and some inks can react chemically with other inks.
Provided you buy your printer ink and paper from a reputable company they should help you to work through these issues to your satisfaction. Our experience at Second Image is that these problems are generally solved before, or by, the printer servicing step.
Alternative ink and paper
If you are doing a lot of photo printing you will find that the cost of original ink and the paper can be quite high.
Alternatives are available and, provided you buy from a trustworthy source, will generally give you good results. If you have done the benchmark exercise suggested earlier you can now compare results.
See the associated article “Printer Ink- Choosing the right cartridges for your needs” for a guide to buying compatible ink cartridges, refilled ink cartridges and ink refill kits. There is nothing wrong with using these alternatives provided you first do your homework and deal with a reputable supplier.
Some papers are incompatible with some inks. This incompatibility can occur between the original manufacturers as well as between original and third party products. The best thing to do is to find a mix of ink and paper that gives you the results you are happy with and stick to that.
Such an approach may mean that you need to experiment with different papers and inks. Remember the golden rule - only change one thing at a time, ink or paper, never both while you are testing, and only use the software supplied by the manufacturer with the printer. When you are happy with your ink and paper combination you can play with different software.
If you follow these simple steps you should have a lot of fun and get great results.

Comparitive Study Of Types Of Wireless Networks
This article discuses about the various types of wireless networks and the speed, distance of each type of the wireless networks.
1.NARROWBAND WIRELESS LANS:
Narrowband Wireless LANS keep the radio signal frequency narrower and an ability to pass the information along the narrower range. Though the distance through these LANS are reasonable but still speeds available aren’t adequate enough fot the corporate users. The major problem that would ocur is interference. But it can be overcome by allowing individual user onto inividual frequencies.
2.PERSONAL COMMUNICATIONS SERVICES:
PCS comprises of a entire range of mobiles, portable and auxilary communication services for both business and personal usage. There are 2 types of PCS as explained below
a. NARROWBAND PCS: The size of the spectrum is smaller than broadband PCS. Narrowband PCS applications include paging, text mesaging, wireless email, wireless telemetry.
b. BROADBAND PCS: This type of PCS has larger spectrum compared to narrowband PCS. Broadband PCS application include all Mobile Telephone services and Mobile Data Services. All these Mobile set of services are available to the users via small. portable, multifunctional devices like digital camera, cellphones etc.
3. SATELLITE: Using satellite networks, the speed would be higher ranging around 1-2 Mbps for upload and download correspondingly. The great advantage of satellite networks are for their huge coverage area, The major drawback of these networks is the delay that exists while connecting. So these networks are found to be nearly dumb when dealt with the bursty traffic.
4. INFRARED WIRELESS LANS: Infrared wireless LANS though have a shorter available range, their speed range are increasing from 115Kbps to 4Mbps. In the near future, usage of Very Fast InfraRed (VFIR) may increase the speed upto 16Mbps. These type of LANS are used in Laptop to PDA transfers and between laptops.
5. SPREAD SPECTRUM WIRELESS LANS: These LANS are a wideband radio frequency technique using LANS. These LANS are both reliable and secure. The most popular WLAN used is 802.11b that runs upto 11Mbps, but the 802.11g specification can boost it upto around 22Mbps.The 802.11a with 5Ghz range can run a bandwidth around 50Mbps which can increase to 100Mbps in the near future. But the distance is less thanwhat we get with 802.11b & 802.11g 2.4Ghz range, (i.e) around 300 feet or so. Usually considering these factors 802.11a is used in a shorter distance outdoor regions while 802.11b/g are used indoors.
